1. Transportation and accommodation

Accredited journalists will be able to use the following transportation services between the various Summit sites :

  • between the Geneva Airport and the Lausanne landing stage, for journalists arriving and departing via Geneva Airport ;
  • between Lausanne and Evian: boat service across the lake ;
  • between the Evian landing stage and the Publier Media Centre: shuttle buses ;
  • between the Publier Media Centre and the Morzine or Les Gets resorts:  shuttle buses.

Journalists will be housed in Morzine or Les Gets: They can already take options on rooms via the Paris embassy of their media organisation's home country with a down payment to the Laurus Incoming Agency acting on behalf of the Summit Secretariat :

2. Publier Media Centre

An International Media Centre will be set up at the Cité de l'Eau complex in Publier, 6 kilometres to the west of Evian.

The centre will be open 24 hours a day from 9:00 am on 31 May to 11:00 pm on 3 June.

The centre will offer workspaces with telephones with analog and digital modem connections, computers providing Internet access, faxes, photocopiers and offices for international new agencies.

A host broadcaster will provide live TV and radio coverage of the public events during the Summit.

An area has been set aside for broadcast media.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will process reservations for TV editing rooms and radio booths, stand-up positions and technical signal distribution and broadcast services.

A broadcast services coordinator will act as the interface between the broadcast media, the host broadcaster and the EBU. He will handle reservations for parking spaces for technical support and satellite vehicles and for stand-up positions (other than EBU).

3. Radio-electronic transmissions

All of the journalists' equipment must be certified. A technical inspection will be carried out when they first arrive at the Publier Media Centre. Certified equipment will be clearly labelled. Uncertified equipment will be banned from the Centre.
