ARRIVAL OF G8 DELEGATIONS AT GENEVA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Accreditation of media representatives

Media representatives - journalists, photographers and cameramen - who wish to cover the arrival of G8 Heads of Delegation at Geneva International Airport on Saturday, 31 May and Sunday, 1 June 2003 must obtain special accreditation.

This accreditation can be obtained from Geneva International Airport up until Monday, 26 May 2003.

The accreditation application form is available on www.g8.fr in the Media Room section and on www.diplomatie.gouv.fr as of 30 April 2003. Applications are to be sent with the relevant accompanying documents either by e-mail to the Geneva International Airport press@gva.ch address or by post to:

Journalists can pick up their accreditation badges from the Geneva International Airport charters departure terminal (at the foot of the control tower) as of 08:00 on Saturday, 31 May and 06:00 on Sunday, 1 June 2003.

Access to the Tarmac

Media representatives will have access to a special zone on the tarmac so that they can photograph and film the arrival of the delegations.

Access to the special zone will open one hour before each delegation's arrival on Saturday, 31 May and Sunday, 1 June 2003. Media representatives must report to the charters departure terminal (at the foot of the control tower). An hourly shuttle service will run between the charters departure terminal and the special zone.

The order of arrival of the delegations will be posted on www.g8.fr and www.diplomatie.gouv.fr in the days leading up to the event.

Telephone and ISDN lines will be available for media representatives in the charters terminal.
